STS has supported Ontario students for more than 30 years with after-school programs designed to help both confident students and students who need extra support succeed in day school.

Courses follow the Ontario Curriculum using STS lesson plans and materials. Students learn in small groups, review quizzes, work through board examples and practice questions, take notes, complete weekly homework, and finish each grade with a Final Review.

STS focuses on active teaching, not just worksheets. Lessons are built from materials prepared by experienced teachers, with explanations, guided examples, discussion, and feedback that help students understand the work.

STS works with a large teaching team across its campuses. Many teachers are qualified to teach in Ontario public schools, have postgraduate subject expertise, or are pursuing teaching certification.

STS teaches the Ontario Curriculum and may move ahead of day school depending on the student's foundation and when they join. Students who already know a topic can use the class for review, technique, and filling knowledge gaps.

Students can bring day-school questions when they need help understanding a topic. Teachers use those questions to clarify the concept, correct misunderstandings, and connect the work back to the lesson.

When students attend consistently and complete the required work, STS says families can often expect stronger understanding after about eight lessons, or roughly two months.

Students can join throughout the year, including partway through a course. STS has many class options across campuses, so families can ask for a class that matches the student's progress and academic needs.
