Our Story
From one small classroom to a GTA institution.
In 1992, our founder started Success Tutorial School in a modest second-floor unit, teaching just two or three students from different grades at a time. More than three decades later, STS has grown, but the heart of what we do has stayed the same — providing thoughtful, structured teaching and helping each student build a strong foundation for what comes next.
-
1992
A single classroom
STS opens its doors with minimal furniture, a chalkboard and a simple promise: teach ahead, one student at a time.
-
The early years
The “Learn Ahead” philosophy
Active teaching, small-group learning and challenging students with rigorous questions become the STS way — a philosophy that continues to guide the school today.
-
Growing Together
Families across generations
Long-standing relationships take root: former students return as teachers, while a new generation of students joins STS.

Today
Four campuses, one mission
From one teacher and a few students to more than 60 teachers and staff across four GTA campuses (Scarborough, Richmond Hill, Markham and Aurora), STS remains focused on helping students learn ahead with confidence.
